I read through some of your blogs today!
I deeply felt your frustration at a paid "indie" service positing WordPress as the only POSSIBLE thing you could use to host a site when Neocities exists. (I also have this annoyance with SquareSpace's marketing as "the easy way to make a website with templates!" You'll never guess where else you can find website templates but For Free. It rhymes with Neocities) I am also glad to see that you are also an avid ComicFury advocate! Every time someone posits posting their webcomic on Webtoons within earshot of me, I do everything short of dropping to my knees and begging to convince them to use ComicFury. I also truly believe, too, that bringing money into the beginning of any hobby will poison it. You need to learn to love something before you try to bring money in, because, if you don't get money, then you'll at least have the love.
I appreciate your blog post on the Great Ren'py Schism, especially as someone who had a negative reaction to it at first. While I still think that PyTom should've disclosed his usage of AI the day that he began rather than retroactively, and I feel the environmental impact of AI usage is an elephant in the room that you didn't address, I feel like you taking the time to break down what he has said in a Patreon post that I had not seen, and that I feel like the majority of people have not seen, really made me think about the situation in a different way.
I also very much relate to the blog about creating NSFW works as an ace (even though I don't publish my stuff, and probably never will). Especially "i am not sharing them because i want you to talk to me about them, i’m sharing them because they needed to be real." To leave sex out of certain dynamics and aspects of life just feels dishonest in many cases. Intimacy is very interesting to explore, and I also think that silliness is very important and way more honest than taking it 100% seriously. I find myself caring a lot more about intimacy than the average allosexual because I view it as a form of communication, and so I think about it very, very purposefully, too.
This was a long comment, apologies!
